I’ve already extracted the MECM 2103 on the MECMPS server. Now all I need to do is to install it.
It needs to download some MECM updates files. They’re some language packs.
For now I’ll just install 4 roles: SMS Provider, Management Point, Distribution Point, and Service Connection Point. Later on I’ll install other roles.
SCCM server communicate with clients via HTTP (80) or HTTPS (443). For HTTPS, both sides need certificate to establish connection. I’ll just use HTTP, because HTTPS is needed when the architecture involves remote site C/S communication and traverse Internet.
For Management Point, Distribution Point and Service Connection Point, I’ll install on the same server.
The whole installation will last for several hours, depending on your CPU and RAM. Make sure you don’t stop all the 4 machines until the installation is done.
